What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Lab Technician position at St Anthony Hospital?
Responsibilities: Under direct supervision and in compliance with state and federal law, is responsible for all standardized clinical laboratory analysis in order to provide information or materials for use by physicians in the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of disease or the assessment of a medical condition. Performs proficiency testing, quality control, professional consultation, instrument maintenance and validation, testing validation, testing management and other functions as required.
Requirements: Associates degree required.Uses written and oral communicative abilities to comprehend technical material and communicate with medical professionals. Minimum of 2 years experience in all areas of the lab in a hospital setting.MT(ASCP) License preferred. Demonstrates familiarity with lab instruments.
