Position Purpose:

Responsible for strengthening existing relationships with physicians and developing new referral relationships. This position will also be responsible for identifying other business opportunities to assist in the growth and overall volume for our hospital and our clinics.

Essential Functions

1. Works with assigned physicians and the physician’s office staff in troubleshooting problems and concerns that may be impeding their ability to treat patients.

2. Position will travel to physician locations as assigned.

3. Communicates key product lines to promote referrals to SAH clinics and ancillary locations.

4. Interacts with key staff to promote and maintain key departmental selling points.

5. Track and monitor office activities from perspective physician offices; successfully close new business in accordance with predetermined targets.

6. Continuously modify sales and retention approach and plans to ensure optimal business outcomes and "win-win" results for all parties.

7. In collaboration with hospital Marketing Department, promotes differentiating services to community physicians.

8. Complies with Stark Laws and any other legal and regulatory requirements for referral and recruitment processes. Communicates to appropriate parties when potential compliance issues are identified.

9. Participates in the implementation of physician activities and events as determined by the Chief Executive Officer and Physician Development Manager.

Ø Performs both essential and marginal job functions in a safe manner as identified by Saint Anthony Hospital and the respective department while adhering to the Hospital’s confidentiality

norms and standards. Actively and consistently demonstrates the core values of Saint Anthony Hospital in all interactions with others.

Ø Assumes responsibility for knowing and maintaining established hospital and departmental objectives, policies/procedures including mission, vision and values as well as patient satisfaction levels and mechanisms to achieve the goals.

Ø Participates in performance activities including problem identification, data collection, solution selection, implementation and evaluation. Also assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies as appropriate.

Ø Participates in staff meetings and or committees as required.

Ø Participates in the implementation of physician activities and events, as determined.

· Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

Reporting Relationship: Physician Development Manager and President & CEO

Machines, tools, equipment and work aids required: General office equipment; Other Equipment Includes: Possession of automobile with valid auto insurance for business use

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required in healthcare field

Experience:

  • Must have 3( ) year of experience working with Physicians
  • Maintains strong customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Data Base Management
  • Possession of automobile with valid driver's license and auto insurance for business use is *Required*

$21.82 - $30.29
