Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assisted Living Director (LALD) to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a licensed professional with a passion for senior care, a strong background in supervision or management, and a deep commitment to promoting the well-being of seniors.
Licensing and Compliance:
- LALD or ALD-IR or maintain current and unrestricted licensure as an Assisted Living Director with BELTSS.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing assisted living facilities.
Position Purpose:
The primary responsibility of your job position is in the management and oversight of the day-to-day functions of the Assisted Living in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern Assisted Living to ensure that the highest degree of quality of care is maintained at all times.
Essential Job Functions:

Occupancy Functions:
- Provide tours and explanations of services to potential tenants, families, and referrals.
- Assure building compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations, being available for license surveys.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and capital replacement plan, as well as fiscal management of the project.
- Advise the supervisor on potential improvements, budget issues, methods of improving operations, and all issues pertinent to building/tenant/staff/community relations.
- Monitor the financial condition of the project on a monthly basis, oversee all building expenditures, and report/consult with the supervisor on budget variances.
Tenant-Landlord Issues:
- Leverage background knowledge of tenant-landlord issues to address and resolve concerns in a fair and timely manner.
- Implement effective communication strategies to maintain positive relationships with residents and their families.
- Monitor and document any tenants not meeting residency requirements, initiate conferences with the tenant and/or responsible person, make recommendations for suitable options, and initiate the process to terminate the residency agreement if necessary.
- Conduct monthly meetings with tenants and staff.
- Ensure the implementation of a quality social/activities program for tenants.
- Handle tenant and employee grievances, documenting them on appropriate forms for referral to the supervisor.
OTHER POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
- Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to use computers and electronic records.
- The ability to deal tactfully and use good communication and customer service skills with clients and their families.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and observation skills.
