Type: Hourly, non-exempt, part time, 12 month
Reporting: Reports to the Director of Finance and Human Resources
Duration: Letter of Agreement
Minimum Education: high school diploma required, bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or human resources preferred
Experience:
· Three years of accounting experience preferred
· Human resources experience preferred
· School or non-profit experience preferred
· Experience with Paycom payroll software, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains accounting software and Veracross student information system preferred
· Experience with Google suite required
The successful candidate will possess skills and experience that would include the ability to:
· Process monthly and semi-monthly payroll for all employees and post to general ledger
· Collaborate with the Extended Day and Summer Programs Coordinator to process extended day and summer program employee payroll
· Process claims related to workers compensation insurance
· Administer and reconcile paperwork and information related to the school’s 403b retirement plan including posting the retirement plan contributions from payroll.
· Prepare multiple worksite report on a quarterly basis
· Process new hire paperwork and assist in onboarding of new hires
· Reconcile and submit monthly benefit invoices for payment to Accounts PayableClerk
· Carry out benefits enrollment for new employees and at open enrollment each year
· Carry out duties and responsibilities confidentially and in an accurate and timely manner with personal initiative and minimal direction
· Represent the school in a positive manner
· Interface and maintain positive relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, parents/guardians, and students
· Be highly organized and detail-oriented
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and Human Resources
Physical Requirements: Regularly sit, turn, bend, reach, walk, talk, hear and interact with campus visitors as well as others who telephone. Must have the ability to understand and present materials and communicate with constituents and co-workers in a harmonious manner.
