Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Designs organizes implements and evaluates evidence-based educational programs orientations and continuing education that facilitate the professional growth skill development and competency of staff. These programs primarily support the organizations mission vision values and strategic goals to ensure quality safety and service in patient and family-centered care.
Responsibilties:
Daily Operations:
- Collaborates with department educators/leaders in the identification and development of initial and on-going competencies.
- Creates and documents education plans in partnership with leadership teams to meet strategic and operational initiatives of the organization.
- Utilizes adult education theories and principles to foster the educational development of participants.
- Authors curriculum and implements educational in-services, classes, courses and programs based upon identified education needs and utilizing traditional, non-traditional and innovative methods of instruction including the use of technology and simulation.
- Submits documentation in support of education to include attendance roster, course evaluation documents and competency validation tools.
- Conducts structure, process and outcomes evaluation of all educational activities.
- Integrates outcome evaluation with regulatory and organizational needs assessment, data, and trends to determine program effectiveness.
- Develops, implements and reports outcomes of educational metrics.
- Collaborates with leadership to ensure the assimilation and on-boarding of new employees utilizing organization's identified tools (i.e. skills lists, orientation documents, etc.) as a measure of employees ability to meet performance expectations
- Performs initial and ongoing educational needs assessment in collaboration with department educators, leaders or designee.

Provides and/or processes contact hours for continuing education programs whenever possible, as defined by program (i.e. ASHA, AzNA, etc).
Hospital LMS
Collaborates with educators to identify LMS assignments based upon employee role in department.
Creates LMS lessons, surveys, and/or checklists using various software programs.
Provides user support for programs.
Enrolls staff in LMS courses.
Generates LMS reports as requested.
Learning Platforms
Utilizes learning platforms in the planning, implementation, and reporting of all education activities.
Develops and maintains proficiency in use of learning platforms including creation/scheduling/implementation of events, uploading users, utilization of reporting capabilities, running quality reports and reporting to leaders.
