St. Leonard has an exciting new opportunity for a Full-Time Director of Nursing.
Our beautiful 240-acre campus is one of the largest Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the United States. St. Leonard features independent living, assisted living, dementia care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, and adult day care as well as a community wellness center that encompasses a fitness center, and restaurant.
The Director of Nursing is responsible for directing and managing the overall operations of the Nursing Department and clinical outcomes; providing programmatic and health services with the goal of offering and / or enhancing the residents’ integrity, growth, and control of overall quality for their life.
Essential Job Specific Duties / Responsibilities :
- Operates the Nursing Department.
- Monitors and improves the overall quality of services in assigned areas.
- Maintains effective communications with interdisciplinary team, residents, families, physicians, vendors, and staff.
- Enhances the continued viability of the facility by advocating the continuous Quality Improvement Process. Keeps abreast of trends and practices in assisted living.
Exceptional Compensation and Benefits Package :
Education : Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing. Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of employment. Certified as a Gerontology Nurse preferred.
Experience : At least five years clinical experience related to geriatric nursing. Must have at least five years management experience. Currently certified in CPR. Experience in long-term care facility and with MDS / RAP Summaries and care planning and a working knowledge of Total Quality Improvement process preferred.
