Position Summary
The Sales Director will be instrumental in driving the growth and expansion of Stabilis Solutions’ LNG portfolio, providing leadership, team development, and administrative oversight for the company's growing small-scale LNG market segment. With a focus on power generation, this role promotes the benefits and capabilities of our LNG solutions to help customers meet their energy needs efficiently and sustainably.
The Sales Director will manage customer relationships, consult on solutions, and develop project sales strategies to secure contracts. Additionally, you will produce high-quality proposals, oversee the proposal process, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to pursue bids for new and existing work in the LNG and related market segments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Planning:
- Identify and target potential customers in industries that can benefit from LNG solutions, specifically short term power solutions.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Provide strategic direction for growth within existing accounts and explore new market opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers.
- Understand customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure satisfaction.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Adjust sales strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
Product Expertise:
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of LNG products and services, including technical specifications and applications.
- Effectively communicate product benefits and address customer inquiries in collaboration with Operations and Technical teams.
Contract Negotiation:
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for the company and customers.
- Clearly communicate and confirm terms and conditions with all stakeholders.
Sales Administration & Reporting:
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress.
- Provide regular performance reports and updates to management.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with internal teams, including commercial, inside sales, technical support, and operations, to ensure a seamless sales process and excellent customer experience.
Proposal Development:
- Produce high-quality proposals for LNG products and services.
- Manage the proposal process in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams to secure bids effectively.
Strategic Thinking & Decision Making:
- Engage with customers to develop insights and strategic thinking throughout the sales process.
- Apply analytical skills and decision-making capabilities at key stages.
