Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for assuring that all Quality requirements are met as they relate to incoming material, in process material and Finished Goods. This role supports Quality Assurance processes, initiatives, continuous improvement and customer fulfillment. The Quality Control Inspector assists operations and Quality Management to ensure process control and product conformity is satisfied in accordance with established standard of procedures and policies. This position reports to the Supervisor of Quality.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate in the Internal Audit Program of quality systems.
- Participate in the Incoming Inspection Process for Bulk product, Retail product, components and Finished Goods.
- Participate in the Incoming Sampling Process for Bulk product, components and Finished Goods.
- Performs and completes In Process Fill Documentation, Sampling, Testing and Inspection.
- Acts as a Quality representative for Job Start approvals.
- Documents and approves Production Make Ready procedure.
- Performs Finished Goods inspections.
- Performs and documents necessary Quality Control test procedures (i.e., torque testing, fill weight checks, caliper usage and testing, vacuum leak testing, pump priming, balance weight verifications, decoration adhesion).
- Able to perform calculation of overflow capacity (OFC), when required.
- Monitors the temperature of QC equipment.
- Monitors product reworks in conjunction with Production.
- Performs bulk sampling from incoming containers for product standards and retain samples.
- Controls and distributes product labels and/or prepared Quality labels.
- Evaluates color, odor and appearance of bulk product and Finished Goods.
- Conducts Documentation Review process for all records, reports and documentation associated with the manufacture, testing and distribution of products.
- Update/maintain spreadsheet for Product Retains (Bulk & Finished Goods).
- Update and maintain spreadsheet for Product Standards (Bulk & Finished Goods).
- Update and maintain spreadsheet for component standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within Quality Control/Manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills, team members that can work collaboratively with colleagues across all functions.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize personal workload
- Safety, Quality, Productivity minded in all aspects of daily management.
- Advanced computer skills - proficient with office suite/ Google equivalent applications: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
- MUST be bilingual in English AND Spanish
