Job Summary

The Data Analyst position is responsible for supporting reporting, dashboards, and data management within the organization by leveraging software tools such as Oracle, Salesforce, Procore, and PowerBI. This role involves ensuring all data operations adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements, overseeing data quality processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data accuracy and reporting efficiency across all departments. Reporting to the Director, this role will be based in the Rockville, MD headquarters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create data models, dashboards, and reports to provide recommendations and communicate key insights.
• Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources.
• Develop scripts to combine and automate various datasets into a pre-existing finalized database.
• Collaborate with teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions, such as identifying trends and patterns, to optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain quality control processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
• Conduct ad hoc trend, revenue, and cost analyses and prepare reports as needed.
• Regularly research and implement industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
• Ability to execute projects and tasks with minimal guidance and supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Conducts work in both field-type environments and professional office settings with local travel to jobsites to conduct inspections.
Physical working conditions may involve the following:

• Lifting up to 20 pounds.
• Extended periods of sitting, walking, standing, reaching, and/or bending.
• Extended periods of reading fine print on a computer or in paper-based format.

POTENTIAL HAZARDS:
Routine aspects of this position may place the incumbent in situations where they may be susceptible to potential hazards from the following:

• Trips, slips and/or falls while on customer property.
• Chemical abrasives are used in office and kitchen cleaning.
• Lifting items up to 20 pounds in weight.
• Other hazardous conditions on customer premises, not otherwise defined here.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline is typically required.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling software applications such as SQL, Python, R, and Excel. Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is also important.
• Strong quantitative analysis and data mining skills. The ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data and develop data-driven solutions.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
• Previous experience in a data analyst role or a related field is often required. Experience with data quality control processes and developing data models is a plus.
• While not always necessary, knowledge of industry-specific data and trends can be beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently with minimal guidance, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
