Summary Statement
The incumbent ensures compliance with civil rights laws that protect against unlawful discrimination in housing and places of public accommodations by enforcing laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures. Work includes investigating alleged or possible violations, interviewing witnesses, complainants, and respondents, conducting fact-finding conferences to gather facts relating to alleged or possible violations, interacting with legal representatives, facilitating conciliation, writing reasonable cause or no cause determinations, and documenting all aspects of the investigation into state and federal case management systems. An investigation typically results in a conciliation agreement or civil or administrative action.
Preferred Qualification
Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.
