This is not a remote position or out-of-state remote position. Position is housed on-site at the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln.
Examples of Work
The IT Business Systems Analyst will:
- Support Medicaid and Long-Term Care (MLTC) in the management of health care delivery services and provide ongoing support of Medicaid program needs with the integration of multiple modular services and vendors.
- Perform as a liaison between technical developers, vendors, and business clients; communicating and documenting system change requests.
- Analyze business processes, eliciting business clients needs and developing detailed system requirements for technical developers.
- Document existing processes and proposed modified processes.
- Create and execute detailed system test cases to validate all requirement s have been met.
- Provide IT production support to business end users by researching and responding to questions and testing system functionality.
- Perform related work as assigned with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines for timely completion of concurrent projects.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework, training, or experience in the analysis of business processes and system requirements, and the creation of business process applications.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer two or more years as an IT Business Analyst.
Other: This position is service oriented; and requires strong interpersonal skills and analytical skills that include working directly with various levels of business and technical staff to determine sound technical solutions for business requirements.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio. Must communicate clearly, effectively, both verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with internal and external clients, peers, and management. Must clearly and concisely communicate (written and oral) technical information to non-technical audiences.
