stayAPT Suites hotel brand is currently seeking Housekeepers for their expanding portfolio of mid-priced Extended Stay hotels. stayAPT hotels boast the largest living space in the mid-tier extended stay segment with 500 sq ft suites. stayAPT suites was designed for guests who need accommodations for an extended period of time, offering full kitchens, high speed internet access and a living space separated from the bedroom. stayAPT Suites was launched as a new extended stay brand in January 2020. This is an exciting opportunity to be on the ground floor of a hotel brand positioned to be a disruptor in the extended stay hotel industry.
JOB SUMMARY
The Housekeeping Lead will ensure all guest room satisfaction and brand standards are met. This role will ensure consistency cleanliness in quality of standards, development of housekeeping team , execution of brand standards, and building awareness of our offerings in the hotel industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Deliver excellent first impression for all guests and potential guests, ensuring special requests are filled.
- Work with the team to coordinate and provide excellence in housekeeping,
- Responsible for proper administration for key control.
- Ensure Safety and Security processes and procedures are in place, followed and utilized.
- Know all hotel housekeeping procedures. Demonstrate and train all associates on these procedures, and inform leadership of any housekeepung safety hazards.
- Assist in planning, detailing of housekeeping.
- Responsible for the property’s cleanliness success and detailing.
- Ability to be readily available if there is a housekeeping shortage and to effectively handle urgent situations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Hotel cleaning procedures.
- Ability to utilize excel to conduct inspections.
- Leadership and Housekeeping skills.
- Exceptional written and oral communication
- Exceptional organizational timing in housekeeping.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 year hotel cleaning experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision. The noise level is usually moderate.
