Job description
Extended stay hotel brand is currently seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager for their expanding portfolio of extended stay hotels. This regional position currently involves properties in Fredericksburg, North Stafford/Quantico and Alexandria/Fort Belvoir VA and the Hampton Roads area specifically Suffolk-Chesapeake.
The brand boasts features designed for guests who need accommodations for an extended period of time, offering full kitchens, high speed internet access and separate living and sleeping accommodations.
Great relationship skills are a must for this position. This position is an excellent opportunity to lead the sales and marketing efforts of these properties.
The position involves prospecting for new business, making sales calls, maintaining existing business relationships, building new relationships as well as community involvement and growing hotel revenues.
This position would also be involved in creating as well as implementing online strategies including third party booking sites. In addition, this position will work in partnership with the hotel GMs. Some overnight travel required. Lucrative Bonus plan and monthly gas allowance provided.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify and recruit top sales talent
- Mentor employees to help them achieve individual & team objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business
- 3 years' of sales experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation, ability to work flexible hours. hotel and or hotel sales experience required, knowledge of local markets and key local decision makers is a plus.
