Job Title: Taproom Operations Manager – Cayce, SC
Job Description: The Taproom Operations Manager is a full-time position that reports to Ownership. This person is responsible for effectively overseeing the growth of the following departments associated with the “Taproom”, front of house, bar, kitchen, events, guest experience, and overall operations.
The person for this job must be organized, energetic, passionate, positive, and able to achieve goals and objectives in a timely manner. The person must be good at problem-solving, creating solutions and strategic development.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The person hired will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Managing all areas of front-of-house operations including but not limited to financial performance, guest satisfaction, special event planning, staff development, taproom sales forecasting and tracking, and supplier relations.
· Setting the example and enforcing all Steel Hands Brewing standard operating procedures and policies.
· Working closely by communicating well with the Owners, Marketing and Business Development Director, Brewmaster, Sales Director, Kitchen team and Taproom Leads to ensure efficient and effective guest experience and business management.
· Interviewing, hiring, training, and developing responsible and effective taproom staff who demonstrate their passion for customer satisfaction, knowledge of beer, and growth within Steel Hands Brewing.
- Maintaining the Taproom and upholding a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment for all customers always.
· Managing point of sale system, inventory, cost of goods, margins, revenue trends, new menu items, and support for any issues that arise.
· Maintaining an up-to-date and accurate staffing and scheduling plan.
· Assisting the Kitchen Manager with overseeing of kitchen inventory, bar inventory, and all other ordering of necessary supplies on a weekly basis.
· Accurately overseeing bar operations to count money, close out the taproom and disperse tips per the Steel Hands Brewing tip-sharing agreement.
· Uphold Steel Hands Brewing policy and procedure manual.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Must have successful management experience in the hospitality industry, especially food management, with a proven ability to be an effective, innovative, and enthusiastic leader.
· Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) required and the ability to effectively use scheduling, event planning and budgeting systems.
· Ability to manage, train, develop, and motivate taproom staff.
· Communicate effectively with the Owners to provide clear and concise feedback.
· Initiative-taking and able to act independently to identify and solve problems as they occur.
· Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment.
· Full-time hours are required with the ability to work longer hours, and weekends, based on market demands
· Must be 21 years of age to work for Steel Hands Brewing.
Starting Salary:
$55,000-$75,000 a year based on experience.
