What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enterprise Operations Technician position at Stephens Default?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow standardized procedures to perform the following duties related to: data center cabling, power/cooling configuration and maintenance; and new infrastructure hardware installation.
- Establish basic configuration of newly installed hardware to make it accessible on the network.
- Perform routine data center maintenance including cleanings, inspections, and working with maintenance technicians for scheduled and required visits.
- Document and troubleshoot system related issues.
- Maintain inventory and labeling of equipment and removal of decommissioned hardware.
- Prepare progress reports to inform management of project status and deviation from goals.
- Measure and record data center environmental statistics such as cooling, power, and humidity.
- Shipping and receiving of hardware.
- Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
- Consult with senior peers on certain projects.
- Display moderate skills with high level of proficiency.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 2 years of related experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
