We are looking for a high energy, enthusiastic team player who would like to join a small Montessori school.
Supervise the classroom, facilitate and nurture the development of each child's self-esteem, trust and growing autonomy. Respond quickly to children's different and personal needs (verbal and nonverbal cues) temperament styles, abilities, and cultures.
Prepare the classroom for children to learn through active exploration and interaction with each other.
Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all school standards.
Create a warm, inviting classroom environment.
Maintain a clean, orderly and attractive Montessori environment including the care and maintenance of classroom materials.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to build rapport with children, parents, and teachers and team with parents to understand and support their children
Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience with effective classroom management skills
- Strong communication skills to engage with students and parents
- Experience working with children in various educational settings
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles
- Ability to implement lesson plans and adapt to diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
