What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Sterling Medical Group?
We are currently seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant (English and Spanish) to join our team, with at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience to perform PRPs. This is an opportunity within healthcare to learn about multiple specialties. We are in need of a Medical Assistant, experience with assisting in Pain Management Injections, Orthopedic & Neurology is preferred but not required.
We are a very high volume clinic with multiple locations and Physicians, so willingness to travel is a must. We expect for our Medical Assistants to travel at least 2-3 days a week, the remainder of the week, they are at our Winter Park Specialty office. Mileage reimbursement is provided with travel.
Personal qualities for this position should include ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, flexibility with learning multiple doctors work ethics, and must be driven and ready for challenge when it calls.
Duties include:
- Assisting Neuro, Ortho and Pain Management Physicians
- Taking and Recording Vitals
- Pre-screening, notating Patient's information and rooming the Patient for your Physician
- Assisting with Pain Injections
- Checking patients in/out, scheduling appointments for all physicians, entering minimal billing charges and confirming appointments (when traveling to our various locations with your provider)
- Translating for our Patients

Hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday
Benefits available 60 days after hire date.
