Qualifications:
Required:
o Strong problem solving and mechanical aptitude in a range of skills
o High school graduate or equivalent
o Valid driver’s license
o Obtain DOT card
o Basic computer skills

o Self-directed and Self-motivated individual requiring little daily supervision once trained on routine duties
o Ability to follow instructions, prioritize duties, and comply with deadlines

Job Description: The Building Maintenance Tech is responsible for assisting with general building preventative maintenance, building mechanical repairs, construction duties, regular delivery of merchandise and supplies to all retail stores, and occasionally receiving freight at our warehouse.
Core Competencies & Responsibilities - Entry-Level:
- Assist with general preventative maintenance to ensure building and equipment is safe and effective for use
- Monitor and perform minor building and systems repairs to ensure the property is functional, presentable, and safe
- Paint and perform minor wall repairs to applicable areas
- Demonstrate proficiency and respond appropriately to the building fire and safety systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on: HVAC, plumbing, doors, locks and hardware
- Hang sheetrock, tape and mud
- Provide and maintain tools
- Working on ladders and at heights
- Clean up after projects performed including removal of debris from the building and grounds
- Communicates plans, needs and how it may affect others clearly and regularly relating to the maintenance being performed, issues you encounter, and assistance needed; if applicable, with manager, store personnel and maintenance team members
- Assist and/or back up coworkers
- Maintain and operate work vehicle
- Securely and safely load and pull car trailer
- Prepare and Deliver merchandise/supplies for delivery to retail store locations
- Load and unload freight from truck and deliver to retail stores
- Perform simple vehicle maintenance, including cleaning the interior of the vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, and scheduling routine maintenance to keep the vehicle running properly
- Observe all traffic laws and posted speed limits while driving
- Pick up freight from the stores and return to the warehouse
- Complete other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Work Demands:
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- This position requires repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling for up to 50 pounds on a daily basis
- Ability to stand, walk, crouch, stoop, kneel, bend, and twist for up to 8 hours per day
Working Environment:
- This position will be a standing and walking position for up 8 hours per day
- Must always wear seatbelt while operating company vehicles
- All personal protective equipment should be worn, when necessary, this to include close toed footwear while in the warehouse area and marking area.
