Construction Turnaround Planner

We are currently seeking a Construction Turnaround Planner to join our team in Lemont, IL. As part of our planning team, you will be responsible for developing detailed and integrated plans and schedules for turnarounds or capital projects of various complexities.

• Collaborate with technical resources, inspections, engineering, reliability, and other departments to gather data and facilitate the development of turnaround and capital work scopes throughout the refinery.
• Ensure the procurement of the most qualified and cost-effective service providers (specialty contractors) for the execution of assigned work.
• Develop work breakdown structures to assist in cost analysis, cost tracking, and re-forecasting of turnaround and capital projects' budgets.
• Analyze and provide logic to planned work steps for critical path analysis, optimizing schedules and minimizing manpower and costs.
• Assist in the development of yearly budgets for turnaround and capital construction spending.
• Supervise, train, and coach other planners and foremen to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to procure goods and services, ensuring quality contractors and timely delivery of materials.
• Develop and assemble management documents to communicate safety, project status, cost and schedule compliance, and manpower utilization.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6 years of craft or industrial maintenance experience in a refining environment
• Valid Driver's License
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management
• 2 years of experience as a Planner or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 10 years of craft or industrial maintenance experience in a refining environment
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management
• 8 years of experience as a Planner or equivalent

Preferred Skills :

• Knowledge of planning and scheduling software
• Experience with SAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
