Job description

Imagine being part of a Team that delivers exceptional eye care to patients in Marion County for medical eye needs to diabetic eye care and/or routine eye examinations.

The successful applicant will need to bring experience, a strong sense of teamwork and a desire to learn new skills (to be uncomfortably comfortable is not out of the norm).

Minimum job requirements:
1. High school diploma.
2. Proficiency in touch typing and use of Microsoft Office products (50 wpm)
3. Available for full time employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Checking Patients in/out of the office
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Taking Payment
  • Taking patient medical histories
  • Performing basic eye exams and tests
  • Helping with in-office procedures
  • Using diagnostic instruments (lensometers, optos, iCare, and ophthalmometers)
  • Maintaining ophthalmic equipment
  • Sending prescriptions to pharmacies
  • Coordinating/scheduling future appointments
  • Answering questions about eyeglasses and contact lenses
  • Making adjustments to eyeglasses

While Sterling Vision has clinics in Eugene, Thurston and Junction City, this job is located in Salem, Oregon.

Expectations of candidate: Candidates must be affable, motivated, and possess integrity. Self-motivation and task completion are essential for interested candidates. You must enjoy working with others and elderly patients.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
