Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician is to support the activity of the Pharmacist and the Pharmacy practice at Stevenson Family Pharmacy.

• Skillfully operate pharmacy equipment, such as computer terminals, scanners, calculators, and cash registers
• Maintain precise and current documentation of medical dispensing records and patient medical files
• Foster effective communication with fellow pharmacy staff
• Responsibly handle incoming phone calls
• Preparing new prescription and refill requests for patients
• Assist in dispensing medication to patients per the prescription, or provider's orders

• Packaging prescription and OTC medication
• Processing insurance claims

Qualifications:

• Display physical stamina to carry out job duties while standing and actively moving for more than 8 hours
• Demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities to efficiently manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Previous experience working with Pharmaceutical computer systems and/or platforms
• Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills required
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
