Guest Services Supervisor

Job Description

The Guest Services Supervisor supervises registration staff assigned to Guest Services.  Oversees patient and visitor interactions in the Emergency Department to ensure timely and coordinated care and effective communication among all staff who are involved in patient treatment/admission.  Provides compassionate assistance to patients and visitors presenting to the Hospital’s Emergency Department. Implement interventions and coordinate needs to prevent patient diversions and walk-aways and reduce length of stay. 

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Health Science or Business required.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ knowledge in Healthcare, Revenue Cycle, and/or Business Office required
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in staff supervision/leadership required
• EMS/Emergency Management experience strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills
• Must be computer literate
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work in highly stressful situations
• Innovative and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Bilingual skills desirable
