Director of Quality

The Director of Quality for Oklahoma City will collaborate with the VP of Commercial Quality and Service to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to quality standards. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining quality assurance and control systems, processes, and procedures to ensure that both products and services consistently meet the highest levels of reliability and excellence. The Director will also provide leadership and support to the Project Team, working closely with production, engineering, and service departments to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous quality enhancements across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project-specific quality plans and lead the quality control strategy for assigned projects.
• Drive improvements that positively impact the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to advance business and quality initiatives.
• Participate in the Operational Project Review (OPR) process and contribute to its outcomes.
• Conduct regular audits of quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage quality requirements and deliverables for facilities contractors.
• Proactively identify and address project weaknesses.
• Lead project change initiatives and implement predictive performance metrics.
• Foster a "Right First Time" quality culture, ensuring personal commitment from all team members.
• Manage assigned components of the Project Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure system controls are in place at the project level.
• Monitor and review the effectiveness of project delivery processes and procedures.
• Support procurement management activities.
• Plan and close out project improvement activities while sharing Lessons Learned and actions taken.
• Develop tools to track, trend, and analyze quality data throughout production.
• Lead efforts in performance improvement across the organization.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Project Delivery Process and Procedures.
• Ensure quality control expertise is available at each phase of the project delivery (e.g., supply chain, construction, commissioning, and handover).
• Review BIM360 entries and assess for quality issues.
• Recommend corrective actions for any quality deficiencies.
• Request and manage warranty or service parts as needed.
• Conduct onsite evaluations and oversee mechanical installations.
• Perform quality assurance on manufacturing, shipping, and installation activities.
• Develop and review Method of Procedure (MOP) plans with technicians and customer representatives.
• Ensure MOP completion is reviewed for quality standards.
• Ensure proper documentation closure and filing.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to manufacturing facilities regarding quality improvements.
• Suggest changes to shipping, packaging, and service/installation procedures to improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

Required:

• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or Business.
• Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders across various functions (e.g., quality, engineering, manufacturing, finance).
• Extensive knowledge in quality and process improvement.
• Effective implementation of quality assurance/control and safety management systems.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001:2015.
• Understanding of the role of regulatory bodies and legislation in project delivery (e.g., PED/CE).
• Experience working with contractors in design and implementation.
• Experience in engineering projects within a regulated environment.
• Strong project management capabilities, including leadership within project delivery teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to challenge behavior and actions effectively when necessary.
• Creativity in problem-solving and breaking through obstacles.
