What you need to be successful
To excel as a Lead Installer at Storr Office Environments, proficiency in electrical components, Steelcase systems, and leveling files is imperative. Familiarity with wall mounting techniques for various office fixtures is a must, along with a thorough understanding of blueprint drawings and the commercial installation process. Successful candidates will showcase strong supervisory skills, able to oversee projects of up to 100 workstations efficiently. Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills are essential to thrive in this role.
Furthermore, accountability for installer training, paperwork completion, and ensuring work quality on projects is crucial. A minimum of one year of experience in the furniture or related industry, a clean disciplinary record, and First Aid certification are required qualifications for this position.
The knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Skilled in the proper assembly of Electrical components, Steelcase systems, File leveling, and gauging.
- Wall mounting: panels, binder bins, and wall boards.
- Thorough knowledge of blueprint drawings.
- Complete understanding of the installation process.
- Ability to supervise and successfully install up to a 100-workstation project.
- Interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Decision-making and supervisory skills.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Accountable for making sure the Installers are properly trained while out in the field.
- Ensure that Installers properly fill out their paperwork.
- Responsible for the quality of the work on the project.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the furniture or related industry.
- No formal discipline procedures taken in the last ninety (90) days.
- Trained and certified in First Aid.
