Summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to serve as a counter sales representative within our Irrigation and Landscape Products Group division. This individual will be responsible for providing products/services to our valued customer, resolving problems accurately and efficiently, and handling orders as they come in and leave our department. This role may require some short distance deliveries to customers, and will sometimes be focused on organizing and working within the warehouse. This role will require a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and always having a positive attitude. This role will be home every day. Duties & Responsibilities
- Input orders into the ERP for GI/LPG finished goods as well as parts
- Work with the GI bidding and estimating group on large projects to order (and return), warehouse manage, stage, and delivery (or return) of projects
- Participate in our yearly physical inventory.
- Participate in the following meetings or conference calls: monthly employee meeting
- Pick, pack, and stage products for shipment
- Help with loading, offloading and securing loads on delivery vehicles
- Sweeping, moping, wiping, and performing other cleaning tasks as necessary
- Participate in weekly cycle counts, and quarterly sheet to shelf and daily cycle count processes
- Help with other miscellaneous duties that may arise in a branch setting
- Assisting with making deliveries (as needed)
- Must be able to gain and maintain a working knowledge of all products and services we represent
- Must be able to learn to read and interpret irrigation and lighting plans and specifications
- Must be able to learn to diagnose and troubleshoot basic irrigation and lighting issues
- Ability to communicate well with others with good customer service skills including person to person, phone, email, and texting
- Return all communications (email, phone, texts, etc.) within 24 hours
- Develop business relationships
- Present a positive, professional attitude and image
- Proactive notice to management and customer of any changes to schedule
- Ability to be flexible to customer demand
Qualifications, Competencies & Requirements
- Valid driver's license is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card is required, this will include regular drug testing
- Clean driving record is required
- Class B CDL license is preferred
- Landscaping, irrigation, water gardening, or turf maintenance experience is preferred
- Turf industry experience is preferred
- Golf irrigation products and their application experience is preferred
- Experience driving commercially is preferred
- English speaking with bilingual Spanish is preferred
- Experience with customer service and customer communication
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Products
- Mobile phones, laptop computers, and tablets
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Experience with customer service and customer communication
- Ability to load, secure, deliver, and unload products in a safe and timely manner
- Ability to lift 75lbs.
- Ability to use a pallet jack and forklift
- Strong time management, organizational, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with some supervision in a small team environment
- Willing to learn about the products that Storr Tractor sells and represents
Work Environment
- At our customer service counter
- Company pickup truck
- No smoking is allowed within any company vehicle
- Working with ladders, pallet jacks, forklifts, trucks, trailers, and unloading/loading pallets and pipe.
- Working inside in a smoke free environment.
