What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security & Safety Supervisor position at Story Cannabis?

Responsible for the overall safety and security of all employees and visitors within designated company facilities.

Provides direct supervision and guidance to Security and Safety Monitors.

Manages employee schedules, leave requests and timesheet approvals.

Updates security and safety policies to ensure they reflect current operations and meet regulatory compliance requirements.

Ensures routine audits and inspections are completed according to schedule.

Conducts initial investigations regarding safety incidents; violation of policy, compliance regulations or law.

Assigns work tasks through the Security service ticket system and dispatches contract security integrators in a timely manner.

Work on special projects and assignments designated by management.

Coordinates with local first responders and regulatory agencies.

Must be over 21 years of age.

Can legally work in the United States - all documentation required

Applicant must consent to a criminal background check

Must have a valid State-Issued ID or U.S. Passport

Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds

Must be able to either sit or stand for long periods of time

Must have reliable transportation

Must have no scheduling restrictions.

Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment background checks.

Extensive knowledge of security and safety protocol and procedures.

Excellent management and supervisory skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.

Ability to work with confidential and classified information.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Ability to complete the OSHA 30-hour Safety Course within 60 days of hiring.

Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands :

Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking for extended periods.

Education

Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent required.
