Strategies to Empower People is a 100% employee-owned company that operates in the Greater Sacramento area. We have been providing services to adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) since 1994 and are the largest provider of our type in the area!

WHAT IS THE JOB?
The Comprehensive Support Professional works with a caseload of clients, each of whom has their own goals, living situations, hardships, and successes. With the help of the CSP our clients learn how to access services they are eligible for, work on education and independent living skill goals such as health management and money management, and develop relationships with the people in their lives.
So whether it's helping someone sign up for SNAP and SSI or developing a monthly budget and tracking bills, the CSP is a guiding hand that helps our clients meet their long and short-term goals!
This position is not direct care! The individuals supported by the CSP live independently in their communities and do not have 24/7 staffing.
SCHEDULE
The CSP works a self-determined schedule based on the needs and availability of their caseload (usually 4-8 clients on a caseload). Work tends to take place during business hours Monday-Friday but can be flexed to meet the needs of the client (example: "I scheduled an hour to meet with my client at 6 p.m. to work on a dinner cooking goal"). We are hiring for full-time (30 hours a week).
LOCATION
This position will serve the Greater Sacramento and will support clients where they are at. This means that some days may be spent in South Sacramento, others in West Sacramento, Roseville, Carmichael, etc. This is a field position that operates in the community with its caseload, this is not an office position and this is not a remote/work from home position. CSPs will be on-the-go every day to provide support to their clients wherever they may need it - this can be at the client's home, medical appointments, community events, or at work/education sites!
We have offices that can be used for training and meeting purposes as well, including administrative time needed for paperwork, notes, etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Individuals interested in our Comprehensive Support Professional position must have at least 1 year of relatable, verifiable experience working with the I/DD population beyond a basic caregiving role. Independent Living Skills (ILS) experience and Tailored Day Services & Employment Services experience are the common backgrounds we look for!
This position requires driving, so current driver license, insurance, and clean driving record are requirements as well! This position also requires data entry/note taking utilizing our agency database system, so adaptable computer skills are a must!
Aside from the nuts and bolts of the job we are looking for energetic staff who base their success on the success of others. Patience, adaptability and creativity are musts for this position!
