Ascent Engineering Group is growing! We are currently seeking a qualified Plumbing Engineer who is self-motivated and ready to contribute to the future success of Ascent. We want the candidate for Mechanical Engineer to become an integral part of our team! Ascent Engineering Group is a Consulting Engineering Firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Low-Voltage Systems design for K-12 schools, higher education, and a variety of municipal projects. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team as we grow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design holistic design of plumbing and fire protection systems, including schematic conceptualization, load calculations, equipment selections, layouts, piping, and writing specifications.
- Designs will result in producing 100% complete construction documents.
- Analyze and interpret design verification data.
- Will be able to meet project budgets, schedules, and performance criteria in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with coordinating design verification activities, including assigning roles and responsibilities in the verification process.
- Escalates potential issues to Sr. Mechanical Engineer as needed.
- May be required to advise on a technical specialty or design.
- As needed, work with established outside vendor(s) regarding product oversight, timelines and quality control.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- EIT registration or P.E. license strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills are required.
- 4 years of working experience with a consulting engineering or A/E firm
- Experience as an HVAC/Plumbing designer
- Experience in completing MEP construction design documents in Autodesk Revit
Salary : $72,900 - $91,700
