Responsibilities
Program Initiation & Planning
- Receive and review energy program assignments from the Account Manager, including objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Conduct site audits and compile data to develop proposals and ROI documentation, focusing on energy efficiency and cost savings.
- Collaborate with the Specifications (SPEC) team to confirm project costs, budgets, and technical deliverables.
Project Execution & Coordination
- Use ERP systems, trackers, and customer portals to manage work orders, track progress, and communicate updates on energy-related initiatives.
- Vet and assign field partners in partnership with the Field Partner Management Group (FPMG), ensuring adherence to defined scopes of work.
- Coordinate with the Rebates team to submit data to utility companies and secure applicable energy-related rebates for customers.
- Issue purchase orders (POs) for project-related costs (e.g., material distributors, field partners, equipment rentals).
Monitoring & Controlling
- Track project budgets to meet or exceed required Gross Profit Margin (GPM) guidelines.
- Identify and address project risks, resolving issues with creative solutions that minimize disruptions and maintain profitability.
- Obtain, log, and organize work order–related documentation, such as surveys, drawings, customer approvals, and email communications.
- Communicate project status and updates to managers, customers, and other stakeholders, escalating concerns as needed.
- Perform quality control checks to maintain high standards and achieve defined project outcomes.
Project Close-Out & Reporting
- Complete project close-out activities, including ensuring all required documents are delivered to the customer in a timely manner.
- Prepare and send invoices and completion documents to finalize billing.
- Provide consistent reporting to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., site managers, vendors, corporate contacts).
- Occasionally travel to client offices or project sites for on-site validation, final inspections, or issue resolution.
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage multiple work orders simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization and external partners.
- Provide general project support and assistance as directed by the Account Manager or senior leadership.
Qualifications
Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for advanced functions like V-lookups and PivotTables), and ERP systems.
- Exceptional ability to manage work based on urgency, customer expectations, and project importance.
- Strong customer service orientation, effective verbal/written communication, and a team-focused mindset.
- Proven success in identifying risks, addressing challenges, and proposing cost-effective, out-of-the-box solutions.
- Prior experience with lighting, electrical, or energy efficiency programs is preferred but not required.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adept at thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Education, experience, certifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of project management experience, ideally involving lighting, electrical, or energy-focused initiatives.
Physical and mental demands
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Capability to execute tasks related to site audits (e.g., standing, walking, using ladders).
- Willingness to work beyond standard business hours if necessary.

- Primarily an office-based role with prolonged computer use.
