What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychotherapist, Private Practice position at Strength and Healing Counseling LLC?
At Strength and Healing Counseling we believe everyone deserves a life changing healing experience. We are hiring full-time therapists who are ready to do courageous trauma work. As we develop we will be collaborating closely to form a supportive, professional, multi-disciplinary, and highly skilled team of trauma therapists. Healing and growth require courage and vulnerability. This is the case for our clients, and for ourselves as clinicians. Perfection is not expected, rather growth toward being the best therapist possible is encouraged and supported.
Getting paid what we are worth, while making service accessible, is possible without the insurance industry controlling the process. If this is not something you can stand behind, please read no further. There is balance to be found. There are many opportunities to accept insurance based reimbursement for your work. The majority of available positions have that focus. We stand up against this industry that puts our clients and our expertise last. We put our clients and ourselves first and limit how much we work with insurance companies. This is value based, an ethical business practice, and increases the effectiveness of our clinical work.
Trauma focused modalities inform the work we do at Strength and Healing Counseling. All clinicians are supported to become EMDR trained and certified. This does not mean EMDR is the only way to go. However, You are encouraged to integrate EMDR with other specific modalities. For example, non-directive play therapy (even with adults) can include EMDR. Parts work can be directly integrated with EMDR. EMDR can be used within treatment provided from a psychodynamic perspective. What do you love about your work when you are being true to your self as a therapist? Integration with a trauma focused modality is expected.
