Stribling Equipment, LLC stands as one of the premier John Deere dealerships, specializing in the sale of both new and pre-owned construction, compaction, forestry, and concrete machinery across Mississippi, West Tennessee, and Arkansas. In addition to equipment sales, we offer parts, service, rental options, and training services. Due to our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Service Technician to join our team. This role will initially focus on shop responsibilities, with opportunities for Wirtgen product training and potential advancement to a Field Technician position in the future. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Heavy focus on paving, asphalt, milling, quarry, crushing, and roadbuilding equipment repairs
- Recondition and repair equipment and components
- Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases
- Maintain and care for equipment and vehicles
- Perform diagnostic inspections as directed
- Complete company-provided training to obtain necessary licenses and certifications: CDL, Wirtgen, Vogele, Hamm, Kleemann, etc.
Qualifications
- Experience or education related to repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, diesel automobiles or heavy trucks.
- Previous experience with Wirtgen, Hamm, Vogele, Kleeman, Roadtec, Bomag, Dynapac, Weiler, Aztec is highly preferred.
- John Deere experience is a plus.
- Tools as required of a typical diesel technician.
- Basic understanding of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite JDLink, and other software on similar platforms that will be used to diagnose and document repairs.
- Analytical skills to diagnose complex problems.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with clean MVR.
- Ability to travel for specialized paid training to support roadbuilding and crushing equipment.
