Position Summary: As a UX Engineer at StrongMind, you'll be part of a team dedicated to creating innovative and user-friendly web applications. You will design and develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes while collaborating closely with developers to ensure the designs are accurately implemented. You will participate in design reviews and gain insight by observing users. You will contribute to our front-end code, and help build and implement our company's design system. Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Ensure that designs are implemented accurately by working with developers and contributing to front end code
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Observe users and understand their path to success and potential struggles
- Contribute to and implement the company's pattern library and design system
- Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and user needs
- Apply Lean Startup/Agile approaches to software development
- Work in an open space/team environment (no cube walls)
- Ask questions and commit to actively learning
Specific Job Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at the department level
- Passion for delivering customer-oriented solutions
- Proficient in creating wireframes, mockups, and sketches in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, or similar
- Ability to create userflows
- Experience with HTML, CSS
- Experience designing for both mobile design vs desktop design
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for self-driven, continuous learning, both in and out of the office
- Passion for Education is a must; experience in Ed-Tech helpful, but not required

Education/Training:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or related field OR Bootcamp in UX/UI Design and HTML/CSS or similar
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field
