Overview
We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in rebar work and lifting steelwork with cranes. Housing will be provided to out of town employees.
Responsibilities
- Install and tie rebar for various construction projects
- Operate cranes to lift and position steelwork
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Align, weld, and bolt structural steel members to form completed structures or structural frameworks
- Inspect work sites to determine the presence of obstructions and ensure that all safety measures are in place
- Use hand and power tools to cut, bend, and weld steel
- Collaborate with other construction workers and supervisors to complete projects on time
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
Skills
- Previous work with rebar
- Previous work lifting/erecting iron
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Skilled in using power tools for metal fabrication
- Mechanical knowledge for precise assembly of components
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
