Stealth-mode software startup developing a new solution for the construction industry. We're looking for a passionate and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping our go-to-market strategy.
This role offers the potential for a total compensation package of $115,560 - $192,600 annually, with the ability to directly impact your earnings through your sales success. That estimate is based on closing between 3 to 5 new clients per month. On top of that, stock options may be offered upon successful achievement of sales goals, giving you a stake in our company's success!
About the Role:
In this exciting role, you'll be the tip of the spear for our company's growth. You'll leverage your sales expertise and business acumen to identify and develop strategic partnerships, generate leads, and drive sales for our innovative software solution.
What You'll Do:
Be a champion for our product: Understand the unique value proposition of our software and effectively communicate its benefits to potential customers in the construction industry (general contractors, architects, etc.)
Build relationships: Identify and develop relationships with key decision-makers in the construction industry.
Market research and analysis: Conduct in-depth research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor landscape.
Drive sales: Generate leads, qualify prospects, and work collaboratively with the executive team to close deals. We currently leverage HubSpot and ZoomInfo to identify and track prospects.
Be a storyteller: Craft compelling presentations and proposals that showcase the problem-solving capabilities of our software.
Build Your Dream Team: Collaborate with the executive team to build and develop your own high-performing inside sales team, fostering a culture of success and exceeding sales goals.
You're a Perfect Fit If You Have:
5 years of experience in business development, preferably within the construction industry.
A deep understanding of the construction industry's challenges and pain points.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong client relationships.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences (technical & non-technical).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate market research into actionable insights.
A passion for innovation and a drive to be part of a company that's transforming an industry.
Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment (embracing ambiguity is a plus!).
