What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Writer position at Stylmark, Inc.?
Our Opportunity:
The Technical Writer will assist and support our manufacturing operations to develop documentation around standard operating procedures and processes. They will work with the process experts to gather information for technical documentation. This role would report to the director of operations and would need to be in-person.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Creation: Writing and editing technical documents such as user manuals, installation guides, system operation guides, and product specifications.
- Content Development: Developing content that explains complex technical information in a clear and concise manner for various audiences.
- Collaboration: Working closely with engineers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy.
- User-Centered Design: Creating documents that are user-friendly and tailored to the needs of the target audience.
- Research and Analysis: Conducting research to understand the subject matter and apply the latest industry trends and technologies to the documents.
- Document Standards: Ensuring documents adhere to company standards and industry best practices.
- Review and Edit: Reviewing and editing content already produced by other team members for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Feedback Integration: Collecting and incorporating feedback from users and stakeholders to improve documentation quality.
Desired Education and Experience
A BA or BS is required. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and previous experience with writing procedures. Working knowledge of manufacturing operations is helpful.

This is a part-time, temporary opportunity that is scheduled to last approximately 10 weeks, with 20 hours per week. There is potential to extend the assignment if both parties agree. All electronic and computer/IT needs would be supplied by Stylmark.
