SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lift Truck Operator oversees the process of moving and distributing products and materials from one location to another along with extracting and loading materials for Kitting and Production. Operates electric-powered forklift to pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products & materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Moves levers and presses pedals to drive the lift truck and control movements of lifting apparatus.

· Positions forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks and transport load to designated area.

· Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting devices.

· Verify materials in WHSE and supplies co-workers with the products and materials as needed.

· Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.

· Transitions products from inbound staging area to warehouse locations.

· Ensures proper quality standards of finished product when stretch wrapping.

· Identifies, reports, and removes faulty equipment and/or damaged products.

· Ensures each inventory tag is scanned individually upon physical movement.

· Ensures area of operation is organized and inventory accuracy.

· Keeps receiving area, warehouse shelves, and aisles clean, organized, and free of hazards and obstructions.

· Follows all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing special protective gear and disposing of materials as regulated by law.

· Maintains GMP standards throughout the warehouse.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

· High School Diploma or GED preferred

· 2-5 years Warehouse Experience

· Forklift Operator Certification

· Prior forklift operator experience in a warehouse environment.

· Understanding of safety requirements for lifting and equipment maintenance.

· Able to work in a team environment and take direction.

· Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

· Must have a basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.

· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-restricted environment.

· General Professional Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English (bilingual a plus)

· Adhere to company safety standards.

· Able to ommunicate clearly with managers, supervisors, and other team members.

· Attentive to detail, organized, and passionate!

· Takes pride in doing good work, and has a positive attitude.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: stand; walk; sit; use hands finger dexterity, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift, push, or move items up to 50 pounds. Use visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard. Frequently work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally work in high, precarious places. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and loud noises. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position requires work in both an office setting and a warehouse setting. Work occasionally requires “after-hours” communication or extended work hours, including weekend or evening work. Working conditions in the warehouse setting may or may not be environmentally controlled resulting in hot or cold temperatures.
