Program Director - Radio

Sun Broadcasting  is a leading multimedia company in Southwest Florida, delivering engaging local radio programming across various formats. We're seeking a dynamic Programming Director to elevate our brands. Position Summary :  We're looking for an experienced Programming Director with a track record in Rhythmic CHR. This role involves curating compelling local content, developing promotions, and driving ratings growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about connecting with our local audience and adept at utilizing social media. Key Responsibilities : Develop programming strategies in line with Sun Broadcasting's vision. Oversee music scheduling and playlist updates. Collaborate with on-air talent to maintain engaging local content. Create promotional campaigns to enhance the station brand. Analyze ratings and research data for growth opportunities. Work with sales teams on revenue-generating opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends and music releases. Recruit and mentor on-air talent. Adapt to changes in technology and audience behavior. Qualifications : 5 years in radio programming, preferably in Rhythmic CHR. Leadership skills with a focus on executing strategic goals. Proficiency in music scheduling software and radio automation systems. Strong analytical skills and experience with audience research. Creative mindset for promotions and events. Ability to adapt to a changing media landscape. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
