Aesthetician Job Description: This is a Full-time or Part-time role. Works closely with Providers to evaluate and perform effective, customized skin care consultations and treatments to improve and maintain the health and appearance of patient’s skin.
Location: Ocala West, Lecanto, and Inverness offices
Role and Responsibilities
Clinical and Administrative
- Perform professional consultations regarding available services and products; determine patient skincare goals and objectives, along with a care plan to facilitate achievement of those goals
- Perform patient procedures, e.g., Hydrafacials, variety of chemical peels, microdermabrasion, Ultherapy, Clear & Brilliant, laser hair removal, acne surgery, micro-needling, CooLifting, and Thermage
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of products and procedures offered at Suncoast Skin Solutions
- Provide patient education for skincare, recommending adjustments to the patient's skincare routine as appropriate to reinforce the provider's therapy regimen and enhance patient confidence
- Consult with providers concerning treatments and patient compliance or non-compliance
- Assist providers with cosmetic consultations and procedures
- Accurately document in the patient's electronic health record as required
- Process correspondence and home care instructions regarding skin treatment plans; track referral sources, sending thank you letters to the source
- Develop written instructions on various aspects of skincare
- Maintain work areas appropriate for patient treatments and product sales, and in compliance with OSHA standards
- Maintain all equipment in working condition in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, resolving any issues or reporting any problems as appropriate
- Maintain a complete inventory of cosmetic/treatment products; routinely check all supplies for expiration dates
- Develop a patient base through direct provider referral and marketing efforts
- Develop and successfully implement a marketing plan to focus on outside target markets, contributing to marketing brochures and ads; adhere to a marketing budget

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma, AA degree or higher
- Licensed as an aesthetician per state of Florida requirements
- One to two years’ experience working as an aesthetician in a dermatologist or plastic surgeons office preferred
- Knowledgeable in computer programs, EMR systems
- customer service, excellent verbal communication skills
