The Director of Finance is responsible for running all of the back-office. This includes overseeing GAAP accounting maintained by the funding and accounting teams on a monthly basis; managing the annual audits for all entities, and having a large focus on timely tax reporting to the Management Team both on an annual basis as well as forecasting quarterly estimates with a deep understanding of book to tax adjustments. 

Responsibilities: 

• GAAP Accounting; Account for the loan level detail accounting in accordance with GAAP for the loans held on the balance sheet 
• Ensure all invoices and accruals are entered correctly, cash is reconciled, and AP and AR are properly cleared on a timely manner 
• Auditing; Manage annual GAAP Audit. Ensure timely delivery of audited and unaudited financial reporting to the management team on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Tax Work; Manage Accounts and financial planning and reporting for Management 
• Manage Treasury Operations for all entities including the Management Company
• Treasury; Study and interpret the tax treatment of Cayman and US Grantor Trusts in order to implement tax optimization plan
• Investor Diligence, Budgeting and Ad Hoc work; Lead Investor Due Diligence calls, as it pertains to Finance, Fund Administration, Valuations, Tax and Audit, and Cash Controls
• Develop and maintain Policy manuals and Disbursement procedures

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• 5 years of fund accounting
• GAAP accounting knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Successful working independently, strong decision making ability
• COVID-19 Vaccinated
