Research And Development Technician

Responsibilities:

• Accurately measure ingredients using analytical balances for benchtop testing and pilot plant trials (training provided)
• Support pilot plant trials by assisting with mixing, labeling, and packaging samples; conduct light analytical tests (e.g., temperature, pH)
• Prepare samples for liquid/powder beverage and dessert mixes, including heating, mixing, cooling, storing, diluting, and measuring
• Manage sample collection and distribution for testing by logging samples in the lab management system, delivering them to internal labs or shipping to external testers, and sharing results with developers
• Assist with shelf-life testing by preparing, logging, and tasting samples, and supporting post-test clean-up
• Oversee inventory management of ingredients and chemicals, including logging chemicals for disposal and ordering supplies as needed
• Create and maintain material specifications by submitting requests for supplier information and updating records in the internal management system
• Ensure accuracy in specification records for materials, formulas, and trade items, requesting cross-functional approvals when necessary

Education:

• Bachelor's degree preferred (Associate’s degree minimum)
