Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is currently searching for an Event Concierge!
The Event Concierge is responsible for a variety of tasks for catering and convention groups including meeting group coordinator/host(ess) prior to event functions, making introductions, and ensuring that all arrangements are agreeable for event success. The event concierge must read and analyze banquet event orders in order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, and more. The Event Concierge must respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements and follow up on any special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance.
All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices and procedures.
Job Duties
- Maintain the BEO book in a cohesive manner according to departmental protocols
- Review and Confirm Banquet Checks on a daily basis
- Coordinate client/exhibit package and shipping needs
- Attend convention pre-convention meetings when applicable to attain client expectations
- Champion the needs of the client and collaborate withal convention operational teams to achieve results
- Create ways to further enrich the guest experience by continuously reviewing, implementing and refining procedures to ensure every opportunity
- Manage guest requests and own all complaints concerning food quality and service, responding to guests with a resolution within 24 hours.
- Ensure that proper security and loss prevention procedures are in place to protect team members, guests, and company assets.
- Ensure proper handling when shipping and receiving of packages, always maintaining customer confidentiality, will also ensure proper receipt of incoming packages and freight, verifying contents and condition. Log all incoming packages accurately, including information on the sender, recipient, date and tracking number. Deliver all packages from Package Storage to the Clients Office or Expo Booths. Coordinate timely delivery to client Offices or designated areas. Coordinate collection of all outgoing packages and freight, ensuring pickup by the requested courier. Ensure proper payment is received for all services.

- Read and verify information is a variety of formats
- Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Completes accident reports promptly if a guest or associate is injured.
- Must have a thorough understanding of all hardware and software systems that are used. This includes inventory, purchasing, forecasting, scheduling and time keeping, email, and electronic filing systems.
- Exhibit efficiency in completing job requirements through working with a sense of urgency, consolidating tasks, delegating, and empowering others while managing their efforts.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
- Develop collaborative relationships with all departments

Act as the primary point of contact for program planners, coordinating all aspects of events for local and corporate groups
Collaborate with hotel operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Review hotel facilities and services with clients to meet their unique needs.
Manage group billing processes, including presenting Group Banquet Checks and sending Sertifi to Clients.
Plan and coordinate group pre-planning visits and pre-conferences to ensure a smooth event experience.
Distribute Meeting Event Orders to communicate group requirements for meeting space events.
Coordinate with various hotel partners to meet group needs, including shipping and handling.
Work in conjunction with Convention Set Up and AV to facilitate on-site group requests and changes in the meeting space.
- Perform other functions as needed
Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Sunseeker Resorts performs criminal background checks on all candidates. - High School diploma/ G.E.D. equivalent
- 1 year proven work experience in an event concierge role, banquets, or related work experience
- Proven customer service experience
- Proficiency required in reading, writing, mathematics and Microsoft Office Suite, along with other programs
