We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Help/Cook/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, with experience in food handling and preparation. This position is essential for ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist the cook with preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Buss tables and assist with catering events as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Help maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to management.
Skills
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and culinary techniques. Prefer ServSafe certificate
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in the hospitality industry.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with other staff members efficiently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
