Job description
This position is responsible for the operation of a carded non-woven paper machine as a member of the operating crew. This position ensures the timely and accurate completion of customer orders in compliance with all safety, quality, cost and productivity guidelines. The process operator is responsible for all housekeeping and safety in the card line area.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Read, write and speak English
- Manufacturing experience
- Forklift experience, preferred
Physical Demands
- Be able to work a 12-hour swing shift schedule
- Be able to support an on call schedule
- Ability to handle 50 lbs.
- Exposure to dust, vibration, noise, heights, elevated platforms, confined spaces, chemicals, temperature variations and rotating equipment
- Ability to use personal protective equipment is required
- Must be physically able to operate a forklift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.08 - $23.21 per hour
