Supporting Independence, LLC. has shifts available for FT and PT DSP positions in the Springfield and South Charleston areas.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: Must be at least 18 years old, must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with less than 6 points, an insured vehicle and a clean criminal background check.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Assist individuals with everyday purchases
- Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings
- Document and report any changes in behavior or health status
- Cooperating with remote support personnel to ensure uninterrupted services
Skills:
- Experience in senior care, patient care, assisted living, dementia care, behavior management, nursing home, home care, or hospice care
- Familiarity of the rights of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
Full-Time work for Supporting Independence, LLC is a base schedule that has 30 hours and over.

Part-Time work for Supporting Independence, LLC is a base schedule that has 20-29 hours.
