Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Administer medications under supervision and according to established protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding client needs and changes in condition.
Skills
- Knowledge of emergency medicine principles to respond appropriately in urgent situations.
- Experience in various clinical settings such as PICU, medical-surgical units, outpatient facilities, OR, inpatient care, or hospital medicine.
- Familiarity with Level II Trauma Centers and teaching hospitals is advantageous.
- Understanding of geriatric care practices to cater to the elderly population effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating empathy and patience.
