Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our collaborative OB and midwifery hospitalist program.
This position involves shift-based inpatient labor and delivery management and the opportunity to work in the office 1-2 days per week caring for low to moderate risk OB patients. We are a collaborative group of clinicians who practice evidence-based medicine in a team-oriented manner. Inpatient staffing consists of two OBs and one CNM in house 24 / 7. A back-up hospitalist is also available. Our office practice is staffed by CNMs, OBs and MFMs. Our CNMs care for all low-risk inductions and labors and care for some moderate and high-risk pregnancies in partnership with our OBs.
The hospital has :
- 24 LDRP rooms, 3 ORs on labor and delivery, an eight bed OB Triage
- A 14-bed Antepartum Unit with affiliated MFM co-management
- A 55-bed Level-III NICU with in-house neonatologists
- Advanced practice nurses specialized in newborn evaluation and resuscitation attend deliveries
- Two in-house OB anesthesiologists
- A full electronic medical record system and remote fetal heart rate monitoring
