Operator- Paint (looking for Art Students)

SVS Group has teamed up with an innovative manufacturing company in Auburn, CA, and we’re thrilled to offer an amazing opportunity for an Operator-Painter role. This is your chance to blend artistic skill with technical expertise in a dynamic work environment!

Responsibilities:

• Calibration Expertise: You'll calibrate a range of metrology equipment, including micrometers, gauges, and temperature controllers, ensuring precise and accurate measurements.
• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that products meet high standards through thorough validation of materials, supplier certifications, and more. You’ll also set up tooling and fixtures to confirm first articles with manufacturing teams.
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous calibration records, complete data reports, and manage calibration certifications, including handling out-of-tolerance conditions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Calibrate various metrology instruments and perform standards maintenance.
• Document all calibration data and complete reports thoroughly and accurately.
• Keep the test & calibration logs updated and ensure correct parts and documents are delivered to customers.
• Maintain proper statistical sampling for quality control.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of mechanical and dimensional equipment is a plus.
• Experience with basic instrumentation and manual tools is preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic mathematics and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

Skills (Preferred but Not Required):

• Microscope operation, blueprint reading, and small hand tools.
• Experience with measuring tools, manufacturing backgrounds, soldering, and manual dexterity.
