Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of our on-site catering events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating memorable experiences, with a strong background in events management and caterings. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, on-site presence, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure successful events.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute events for on-site caterings, including logistics, supplies, staffing, and attending the event itself
- Attend caterings in the morning, afternoon, or evening, depending on client specifications.
- Coordinate training to staff on new catering set ups for a wide variety of menu and holiday items
- Help develop holiday and special event catering packages
- Ensure inventory is stocked and kept up to date with supplies and menu items needed for each event
- Ensure that commissary is kept clean and organized
- Manage on-site operations during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly from setup to breakdown.
- Upsell additional services or products to clients to enhance their event experience.
- Handle any issues that arise during events promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure every event is executed to high standards.
- Attend Event Expos, connecting with potential clients and showcasing the business and packages we offer.
Experience
- Proven experience in events management or catering is essential.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations is a plus, especially in relation to catering services for events.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration with clients and team members.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
