We are seeking a highly motivated Account Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day dispatch and operations at our Augusta, GA location. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth logistics, driver management, and customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatch & Operations Management – Oversee all dispatch duties, ensuring fair and effective driver assignments while prioritizing efficiency and productivity.
- Customer & Driver Relations – Serve as the primary contact for drivers, shippers, and customers ensuring seamless communication and service execution.
- Equipment Utilization – Manage tractors and trailers to optimize usage, reduce downtime, and meet revenue goals.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensure 100% compliance with DOT Hours of Service regulations and company safety policies.
- Performance Tracking – Monitor equipment utilization, driver productivity, and operational efficiency, implementing improvements as needed.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making – Analyze information, resolve conflicts, and develop strategic solutions to optimize operations.
- Administrative & Financial Oversight – Track expenses, review contracts, and coordinate necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Safety & Compliance Leadership – Conduct safety audits, ensure adherence to policies, and promote a culture of safe work practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Three (3) years proven experience in dispatch, logistics, or operations management within the transportation/trucking industry.
- Proficient in computer systems, with a strong emphasis on McLeod Dispatch Software and Microsoft Office Suite for efficient operations and data management..
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to foster a productive team environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize Customer directed loads.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, compliance standards, and transportation industry best practices.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing schedules, paperwork, and reporting.
