What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Supervisor position at Swope Health?
As a Residential Supervisor for Swope Health Services residential department, you will be part of a team that helps members of our community that need it the most. A Residential Clinical Support Specialist Provides management and leadership to Intensive mental health technicians to ensure coordination of care for residential clients.
Successful Candidate will have:
- Supervision and management of mental health technicians.
- Ability to engage and assist individuals in learning and practicing skills that promote independent
- Monitor individual participation and progress in organized treatment programs to assure the planned provision of service according to the individual's treatment plan.
- Participate in the development or revision of a Person Centered Individualized Treatment Plan as a member of the CPRP and Healthcare Home treatment team.
- Assist and promote the person to engage and access family, guardians, significant others, friends, religious supports and a variety of community agencies and resources to provide ongoing social, educational, vocational and recreational supports and activities.
- For 87st Place, the supervisor must be a QMHP Qualified.
- Coach individuals to learn and practice symptom management skills within the community-at-large to assist the person in achieving and maintaining their community adjustment.
- Champion recovery efforts for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, chemical dependency and/or co occurring disorders in a manner that supports the dignity, respect, self-determination, and empowerment of each individual
- Assist in implementation of individual treatment plan activities that promote independent living to include wellness activities, cooking and nutrition, transportation, budgeting, and household management.
- Assist with planning, coordination and scheduling of activities that promote recovery, symptom management, and community engagement.
- Ongoing training and development of staff to address training needs and to train staff to residential standard operating procedures.
- To provide crisis management support to individuals who reside in Swope Health Services residential facilities and to residential staff.
- Monitor safety, cleanliness, and condition of residents units.
- Monitor documentation of interventions to ensure compliance to ICPR standards.
- Provide protective oversight and follow crisis intervention
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualification
- Master's Degree in either Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling and a license in the State of Missouri. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), (PLPC) or (LCSW).
- OR experience in psychiatric, substance abuse treatment, or developmental disabilities with Masters Degree.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong consumer advocacy skills with an empowerment philosophy.
